FOLLOWING the morning session of the Institute of Technical Education’s 21st National Convocation ceremony, the afternoon session continued with 1,169 graduates receiving qualifications comprising 155 Diplomas, 16 National Skill Certificate Grade 2, 621 Skill Certificate 3 and 337 Skill Certificate 2.
Presenting the certificates at Universiti Brunei Darussalam was Permanent Secretary (Downstream & Power) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Jamain bin Hj Julaihi, as the guest of honour.
The permanent secretary also presented Excellent Student awards to Dyg Farhana @ Sonia Ismail from Wasan Vocational School, Dyg Iqlyma Mohammad from Sultan Bolkiah Vocational School, Dyg Hjh Noor Azlina Hj Ahad from Nakhoda Ragam Vocational School, Hj Muhd Yashreen Hj Sehia from Wasan Vocational School and Dyg Nur Syazwanie Hj Sallehin from Sultan Bolkiah Vocational School.
Recipients of the Best Performance awards were Siti Samiyya Afina Mesli from Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College (MTSSR), Awg Ahmad Firdaus Yusup from Wasan Vocational School and Muhd Hafizuddinhamizan Md Khairulshahlee from MTSSR.
Meanwhile, two Special Awards sponsored by Brunei Gas Carriers, Syarikat Kejuruteraan Sistematik Sdn Bhd, Soon Lee Heavy Machinery Services and Satami Food and Catering Services, were presented to Dyg Yenna Awg Walli from Mechanical Training Centre and Mohd Firdaus Wasli from Wasan Vocational School, while the ‘Damit Worleyparsons’ special award was presented to Dyg Nadherah Hazwannee Amir from Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering.
