SULTAN Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SOAS) College officiated its new conference room at the new college building with a two-day Work Plan Workshop. It was conducted by Principal Haji Ismail bin Haji Zainal and the Research, Innovation, Development and Evaluation (RIDE) Unit of the college.
The workshop began with a speech by the principal which touched on the college’s policy and direction for 2015 and it stressed on the initiatives, programmes and instructional activities.
In order to achieve the college’s vision, the principal presented a talk on the five ‘Key Focus Areas’ – leadership and management, academic excellence, students’ character development, conducive environment and excellent facilities, and college and community partnership.
The aim of the workshop was to plan and develop a work plan for the college in 2015 and decide the college’s development framework for the next five years.
Participants of the workshop included deputy principals, senior masters and assistants, heads of department and assistants as well as counselors.
