SERI Mulia Sarjana International School (SMSIS) held its 16th Graduation and Awarding Ceremony at Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.
The guest of honour was Awang Zaman bin Haji Gapar, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer, Private Institutions Section of the Ministry of Education.
The ceremony marked the culmination of the school’s academic year.
It is an occasion where students’ successes are celebrated and recognised.
In his opening speech, Zaman bin Haji Gapar said, “The school and its students must be applauded for their recent outstanding achievements by winning various awards and notably the highest marks in Brunei Darussalam for the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) Science.”
Also in attendance were parents and hundreds of guests. Graduates made their way into the hall beaming with pride dressed in their graduation gowns and caps.
In her welcominge speech, Principal Chong Wee Meng emphasised the importance of home and school partnership. Strengthening parent-school relationship has been one of key thrusts of the school this year.
The event also saw two meaningful videos presentation highlighting SMSIS students as global citizens and joining the world in paying tribute to kindness and peace that keeps the world afloat.
The event concluded with the presentation of academic prizes and certificates to students as well as the graduates.
