SMRIPAS holds motivational talk

RAJA Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School (SMRIPAS) Tutong held a motivational talk for its Year 8 and Year 11 students and their parents yesterday.

The event organised by the Counselling and Career Guidance Department was participated by 80 students and parents. The aim of the event was to increase students’ motivation in their academic performance, to nurture their positive values and to gain blessings from both parents and schoolteachers.

The event started with the recitation of Surah Al- Fatihah by Ustaz Julaihi bin Masri, followed by a welcoming speech from Mahzalina Nora binti Haji Alli Omar. The Principal, Hajah Amal Nuriyah binti Haji Ahmad Kumpoh, as the organiser of the event, emphasised the importance of parent involvement in shaping up their children’s education both at school and at home.

The motivational talk was delivered by Ustaz Fariszal bin Ali, Assistant Counsellor at the Brunei Prisons Department who highlighted the importance of Doa and the recitation of Al-Quran verses before studying to achieve success. He also gave some useful Doa to be practised by students in their daily routines.
