ANYONE with a nervous disposition and an adverse reaction to anything slithery and slimy would have felt more than a slight discomfort at the Reptile House of the MS Family Carnival at the Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS) yesterday.
The annual event also had many fun activities and food stalls for the family besides the cold-blooded creatures, much to the delight of some visitors that had no love for them.
But for those who are just fond of them, the Reptile House was simply made for them, with slithering snakes climbing out of their small glass containers, and youths with colourful snakes around their necks showing off their fearless attitude.
This was probably one of the most popular shows of the event, with many curious visitors willing to pay the nominal fee of $2 just to watch the slithery reptiles play their part in making the event an overall success.
The Family Carnival also has plenty of other fun activities such as photo booth, face painting, dart games and others, whilst there were also clothes for sale for women and children, T-shirt printing, henna tattooing, just to name a few.
For those feeling peckish or thirsty after all these activities, there were food and drink stalls that had excellent choices of local favourites from takoyaki, spaghetti to burgers and nasi katok and plenty of choices of drinks to wash it all down.
The MS Family Carnival 2014 was organised by the enthusiastic members of the MSPSBS Student Council.
