SHARP-ROXY Sales & Service Company (M) Sdn Bhd (SRSSC) expands its product offering to the Malaysian market with the launch of its Cloud SmartHome System.
Billed as the next generation cloud-based security system, the SHARP Cloud SmartHome System offers an easy to set-up, fully expandable and integrated Alarm, Monitoring and Surveillance capability, all at a superbly affordable price.
Citing the growing “Internet of Things” trend as among the factors for venturing into security system market, the Managing Director of SRSSC, Hiroyuki Nuizato said, “With the Cloud SmartHome System, SHARP is expanding its product line-up to tap into this growing trend. The Internet infrastructure in Malaysia is readily available with the broadband penetration rate expected at 75 per cent this year while smart device users account for 70 per cent of the total mobile phone users.”
Meanwhile, domestic market demand for security system is on a growth path. According to Frost & Sullivan, the domestic CCTV market reached approximately RM270 million last year with this year’s figure expected to hover around RM300 million. Demand is projected to grow further in the years to come driven by the population’s increasing affluence and desire for better security.
“We’re bullish about the prospect of our Cloud SmartHome System,” said Nuizato who added that this is fuelled by the product’s superior features, its market positioning as well as its pricing. “For the coming year, we are targeting to capture around 15 per cent of the market share with the product projected to contribute around five per cent of the company’s total annual turnover,” added Nuizato.
The product’s affordability and SHARP’s renowned quality and reliability are expected to contribute towards the company’s effort to commercialise the Cloud SmartHome System to the masses. This should further boost citizen empowerment among Malaysians in combatting crimes and promote a safer community.
Since it is cloud-based, users have full access to the system anywhere they are as long as they are connected to the Internet via a user-friendly app on their smart devices. Currently, the system is compatible with Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms.
