A DEDICATED investigation team is working tirelessly in solving the Shahbandar murder case of Chin Mei Fong.
Superintendent of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Hj Khairur Rijal bin Hj Abu Salim from the Special Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, yesterday highlighted efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He added that they are currently waiting for the forensic report.
Chin Mei Fong’s body was found around 6.15am on September 8 at the vicinity of the fifth Pondok (hut) of Bukit Shahbandar after she went missing while hiking on the afternoon of September 7.
A postmortem revealed that the cause of death was strangulation.
She was also sexually assaulted.
The police are still searching for two persons, believed to be foreigners to facilitate investigations. Both are aged between 30 and 40 and around 5’5 to 5’7 tall. They have short black hair and very dark skin tone.
