SG TALI Primary School yesterday organised the Entrepreneurship Showcase Activity in Lumut.
A total of 21 booths were prepared involving students from kindergarten to Year 6 and staff members of the school.
They sold self-made products and offered various services.
The school’s Senior Education Officer Hjh Sukmawatty Hj Mohd Idrus said, “This event is to help promote the fruits of the students’ own hard work.
“Some of them spent days to weeks to prepare their products such as artwork from recycled products, bracelets made of rubber bands and services such as face painting, games, henna tattoo and foot massage.
“This is also a chance for us to see their creative abilities and help them feel comfortable with showing their talent and ideas, especially when it comes to entrepreneurship.
“After all, one of the best ways to harness a talent is by encouragement.”
Zulaikha binti Zambri, a Year 6 student who mainly focused on selling bracelets, said, “Some of the bracelets took us a few days to make due to the complexity of the designs. But it becomes easier as we go along.”
She added, “I’m glad that we have this event as it’s also a chance for us to get closer with the other students.”
