A MISSING persons report made last Sunday has been withdrawn after the two men concerned were found safe and sound.
A statement released by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday explained that the men, aged 27 and 48, were as-sumed to be missing in the forest reserves in the Kargu Dam and reservoir area.
They were believed to have entered the forest at 8am on October 12 in search of the local Sibut fruit (also known as Sabal).
According to the statement, the men lost their way back after dark and had spent the night in the jungle.
They found their way out around 7am yesterday.
The joint search operations, organised by RBPF after concerned family members made the missing persons report on Sun-day evening, were therefore stopped.
The search party comprised personnel from the Labi Police Station and Police Rangers Company ‘C’ of the Police Reserve Unit, and was assisted by personnel from the Gurkha Reserve Unit.
