WITH Brunei Darussalam striving to improve the quality of human resources as per Vision 2035, schools throughout the country are taking initiatives to improve standards of learning by empowering its students.
Among those that have implemented relevant measures to enhance learning capabilities include Rimba II Secondary School. The school’s teachers yesterday launched an ‘Identity Camp Programme’ that has been scheduled to run till tomorrow.
Focussing on Year 10 students, the camp aims to prepare participants for their ‘O’ Level examinations through confidence building and positive reinforcement measures as well as by setting goals and enhancing learning techniques among students.
Apart from improving students’ grades, the objective of the programme is also to facilitate in increasing the percentage of students who achieve at least 5 ‘O’ Level grades, while realising the Ministry of Education’s 2012-2017 Strategic Plan for High Achievement based on the Key Performance Index for public examinations.
The programme focusses on improving grades in Islamic Studies, Malay, Mathematics, Combined Science as well as Geography.
