STANDARD Chartered Bank (SCB) achieved yet another milestone with the official launching of its new branch at Hua Ho Tanjung Bunut Mall.
The new premises was officially launched by Awang Yusof bin Hj Abdul Rahman, Managing Director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) with Rino ‘Donny’ Donosepoetro, new CEO of Standard Chartered Bank as well as Sebastian Arcuri, SCB’s Regional Head of Retail Clients, Asean.
In his opening address, Rino ‘Donny’ Donosepoetro, said, “The launch of our Tanjong Bunut branch marks a milestone in our 56-year history in Brunei as it signifies an important change in the way our clients conduct their banking with us.
“Our extensive range of alternate banking channels such as ATMs and cash deposit machines including an award-winning online banking platform have enabled our customers to shift to these increasingly popular and preferred channels which are convenient and available round the clock to meet their day-to-day banking needs.”
Meanwhile, Sebastian Arcuri, SCB’s Regional Head of Retail Clients, Asean said, “Standard Chartered Bank Brunei is an integral part of our Asean footprint as we are the only international bank to have a presence in all Asean member countries. We have been doing business in the Asean region for more than 150 years and we remain committed to this dynamic region.”
Eng Siok Tin, Head of Integrated Distribution of SCB said, “We are also delighted to share that our Tanjung Bunut branch will operate extended hours, seven days a week offering greater convenience for our customers to conduct their banking after regular business hours while completing their day-to-day errands.”
The branch is open from 10am to 8pm on Monday to Friday with the exception on Friday when the branch will be closed from 12noon to 2pm.
On Saturday and Sunday, the branch will open from 10am to 4pm.
