STANDARD Chartered hosted a seminar recently entitled ‘Best Human Resources Practices Sharing – Raise The Bar of Employee Performance’ at the Mutiara Ballroom of the Radisson Hotel in the capital. The seminar was aimed at sharing best practices across Standard Chartered Bank’s global network for human resource professionals in Brunei. The seminar was delivered by Peter Hatt, Asean Regional Head of Human Resources (HR) at Standard Chartered Bank.
Standard Chartered Bank has had many successful initiatives in relation to human resources and places importance in a healthy work-life balance. Aside from events that drive employee engagement, the bank also has its own award scheme to recognise, promote and reward excellence, professionalism and outstanding achievement in service.

During the seminar, Peter talked about HR trends across Asean, talent management, the importance of continuous learning in the workplace and collaboration across teams and functions in achieving organisational goals.
Peter has spent four years in South Korea as Head of HR, Standard Chartered Korea. During his 10 years with the bank, Peter has worked in both generalist and specialist HR roles including Business HR for the Global Support Functions and Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion.
