NUR Aqilah binti Maidin, a young Student $aver account holder at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), was awarded for her achieving a first class honours degree as part of the bank’s commitment to reward its student account holders for high academic achievements.
According to a press release, the award is part of SCB’s Student $aver product package which features a bundled range of student specific products consisting of a current account, ATM card and eCash card for students between 15 and 25 years old. Asides from the bundled products, Student $aver clients can also make use of Standard Chartered’s Online Banking and Phone Banking service as well as add on options such as a regular savings plan to help build up savings.
One feature of the Student $aver package is the academic award for excellent academic performance, where Standard Chartered Bank commits to award $300 for achieving 3 A’s in GCE ‘A’ Level examination and $1,000 for achieving a first class degree in undergraduate courses. Student $avers will also have the opportunity to explore internship opportunities with SCB depending on availability of spaces.
