#SayangMalaysia: Platform to introduce Malaysia to the world

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – The Tourism and Culture Ministry is using the social media as a platform to introduce the diversity and uniqueness of the country through the latest social media campaign, #SayangMalaysia.

The ministry’s Key Performance Indicator officer cum head of the National Blue Ocean Strategy, Kartini Karim, said the campaign was initiated in March as an initiative to support the Visit Malaysia campaign.

“The social media campaign, #SayangMalaysia, has attracted foreigners to the country, including freelance bloggers from various countries who wish to write reviews on interesting and historical locations, food, culture and diverse races in this country,” she told reporters after attending a dinner function with world tourism and culture media practitioners at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC) yesterday.

Further commenting, Kartini said the reviews made viral on the social media helped to indirectly introduce Malaysia to the eyes of the world.
