IN RESPONSE to a gracious invitation extended by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the following GCC leaders convened in Riyadh City at the Custodian of the two holy mosques on November 14, 2014.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait; His Majesty King Hamad bin Eisa Al-Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain; His Highness Sheikh Tamim Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar; His Highness Muhammad bin Rashid Al-Maktum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Constitutional Monarch of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahayan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to firmly establish the spirit of sincere cooperation to stress the common destiny and the aspirations of the sons of the GCC states to robust relationships and close rapproachment.
“Praise to god, we managed to reach complementary Riyadh Agreement, firmly establishing unity of the Council States, advancing their interests and the future of its people, it is the start of turning a new leaf that will be a strong foundation for advancing joint Arab action and proceeding to a strong and coherent GCC entity, under the doubled efforts and leaning on each other to protect their security and stability.
