I AM one of the applicants of the recently-introduced education loan scheme who is not satisfied with the relevant authorities due to their delay in taking action.
Those who have fulfilled the requirements were prioritised to attend the interview. But why those who are eligible are not awarded the scholarship? We have no choice but to apply for the education loan.
I am one of those who is qualified but have not received any news from the Ministry of Education.
The ministry should refer back to the titah made by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
I am determined to continue with my degree course but have financial difficulties to pursue such a dream.
Is it really necessary for those who wish to apply for an education loan to undergo the interview?
For example, if I were a bank employee, would it be necessary as long as there is a contract agreed upon between the bank and myself which is already an evidence.
The Education Loan Scheme procedure should not be the same as the requirements to take scholarship.
The loan is repaid once the student has completed his/her study and gets a job.
My course will start soon. I am hoping that the loan could assist in my education, but sadly there is no news to date.
I have been calling the ministry frequently but no one is picking up the phone.
And every time I go to the ministry to inquire, the staff says if I did not fulfil the requirements, my application is considered as KIV (keep in view).
I was asked to be patient.
But until when? Where can I get the fund to study?
For parents working in the government sector, they are given a monthly school allowance.
But what about parents who are not working in the government sector.
I hope the ministry will consider my application and intention to pursue my studies either locally or abroad.
