THE second Haj flight comprising 241 pilgrims arrived home safely yesterday morning on board RB flight BI4214.
The pilgrims were greeted upon arrival at Brunei International Airport by Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, and Deputy Minister of Education, Dato Seri Setia Awg Haji Yusoff bin Haji Ismail, in his capacity as Chairman of Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd’s Board of Directors.
Also present were Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof and Awg Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abd Salam; and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications Awg Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof.
There were also representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Permament Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awg Haji Harun bin Haji Junid and other senior officers from the ministry.
Recitations of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat were read by an officer from the Department of Mosque Affairs, Awg Zilani Hj Bungsu.
The final batch of pilgrims comprised 181 pilgrims from Darussalam Holdings, 50 pilgrims from Straits and Central Agencies, six medical officers and four Haj officials from Darussalam Holdings.
