NEW DELHI (dpa) – Tennis ace Roger Federer riding on an ele-phant in Jaipur, taking a dip in the river Ganga at Varanasi, shielding himself from a tiger in the Kahna national park.
A creative photoshop initiative that began when the Swiss player invited suggestions for sightseeing in India has been a hit on the social networking site. “Blown away by the hilarious and creative Photo-shopRF’s,” Federer tweeted Friday.
It all started when Federer, who is to be part of the International Premier Tennis League event in New Delhi on December 7 and 8, tweeted: “I need some help from my supporters in India. I’m only in Delhi for a few days, so can’t visit all amazing places that I’d like.”
“Maybe you guys could help PhotoshopRF? Show me where I should visit and I’ll retweet the best pics!”
His Indian fans were on the roll after that tweeting neatly morphed pictures – Federer leading camels in a Rajasthan desert, driving a truck, posing at the Taj Mahal and doing the western stereotypes as a snake-charmer and a keeper of a dancing monkey.
“Too many to pick favourites, but I had to make a collection,” Federer tweeted.
