THE Blood Bank Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital (RIPAS) with the cooperation of Kemuda Institute in Beribi yesterday held a blood donation campaign.
The drive which took place at the Kemuda Institute BSB Campus collected 25 pints of blood.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness among members of the public to save life by boosting the national blood bank.
According to Haji Iqmal Bin Haji Ismail, RIPAS Blood Bank Supervisor, members of the public are encouraged to come forward and donate their blood during the campaign in the four districts.
He said the blood bank needs at least 50 pints of blood a day and the blood is not only for the RIPAS Hospital but will also be distributed to all the hospitals in the country.
According to a statement, the blood donor must be 17 years old and above, weighing not least than 45 kilogramme.
Most of staff members and students of Kemuda Institute donated their blood.
