PENGIRAN Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Religious School (SUPJNPHAB) recently hosted “Program Keagamaan Senegara Persekolahan Ugama” for the month of November, with 234 students from Primary 4, 5 and 6 participating.
The event started with a ‘tazkirah’ delivered by Shahriful Rizal bin Metali, a teacher from SUPJNPHAB, which discussed the different prayers that can be recited during the journey towards sitting for an examination.
During the ‘tazkirah’, Shahriful Rizal mentioned that the ‘Doa Menghadapi Peperiksaan’ is divided into seven parts.
It begins with the recitation of Ayat Al-Kursi when leaving the house for the examination, followed by a recitation of a prayer when on the way to the examination hall.
Then followed with a recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah accompanied by the Ayat Al-Kursi when entering the examination hall, a prayer when starting the exam, a prayer when and if the student forgets a piece of information, a prayer for when the student encounters difficulties in answering questions.
Lastly is a prayer when the student finishes answering a question.
The event was followed by the recitation of ‘tausyeh’, which was also led by Shahriful Rizal.
In an interview with the Bulletin, Rina binti Hj Talip, the Acting Headmaster of SUPJNPHAB, expressed that this monthly event organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs for all religious schools in the four districts is tailored to benefit the students, especially those who will be facing their examinations soon.
She said, “We hope that the students will appreciate the meaning of the ‘tazkirah’, not only for their preparation for the upcoming exams, but also for their everyday lifestyle.”
The Acting Headmaster further added, “There is no Surah recitation this month as we want to focus more towards ‘tazkirah’ related to the ‘Doa Menghadapi Perperiksaan’ so that students can practise it as one of their efforts to avoid pre-exam panic.”
The event ended with the recitation of the ‘Doa Peliharakan Sultan’ led by one of the students.
