FOUR primary schools in Cluster 3 held a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer for Year 6 students who will be sitting for the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examinations as well as for Rohingya at the Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Jalan 10 Mosque in Jalan Pasir Berakas yesterday morning.
According to a Ministry of Education press release, the primary schools involved were Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School (SRLK Jln 49); Dato Marsal Primary School (SRDM); Dato Basir Primary School (SRDB); and Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Jalan 10 Primary School (SRPLK Jln 10).
The guest of honour was Mohammad bin Tahir, Village Head of Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Zone 1.
The event commenced with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Haji Md Khairol Ariffin bin Haji Yusof, Imam of the Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Jalan 10 Mosque and a representative from SRLK Jln 49, followed by mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin.
The event continued with the recitation of special prayers for PSR preparation and for Rohingya led by Imam Haji Md Khairol Ariffin; Haji Muhd Khairulazany bin Haji Bakar, the representative for parents from SRDB; and Ahmad Mubarak bin Hamri, the representative for students from SRDM.
A total of 237 Year 6 students from four primary schools in Cluster 3 will be sitting for PSR examinations this year, comprising 63 students from SRLK Jln 49; 63 students from SRPLK Jln 10; 62 students from SRDM; and 29 students from SRDB.
The Sunnat Hajat prayer is part of ‘Meraih Berkah Kluster 3’ programme, which began 39 days before students sit for the PSR examinations and to improve the achievement of passing percentage for 2017.
The programme is meant to ensure that the schools in Cluster 3 will continue to strive spiritually apart from academic form and to ensure that all efforts undertaken in acquiring knowledge have received blessings from Allah the Almighty.
