A MOSQUE is a place to perform the ‘Ibadah’ such as prayers, to recite the Zikir and as a venue for religious activities. It also serves as a place for Muslims to develop their Islamic knowledge. Many teaching and learning activities are conducted at a mosque, among them being Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes.
In relation to this, a delegation from the Mosque Affairs Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday visited the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kg Serusop to observe the Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh led the delegation, which was made up of personnel from the Mosque Affairs Department.
The visit aimed to allow for a closer look at the development of Al-Quran and Muqaddam classes in the Sultanate, in ensuring that they run smoothly and accordingly.
The visit will continue to several other selected mosques and surau around the country.
