Relief teachers attend workshop and work placement at Pusat Ehsan

A TOTAL of 16 relief teachers from various government primary and secondary schools recently participated in a workshop and work placement at Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam (Pusat Ehsan).

The Special Needs Support Services Section from the Special Education Unit (SEU), Ministry of Education in collaboration with Pusat Ehsan organised the workshop and work placement session from September 25 to October 9.

One main objective of the event was to expose the participants to teaching strategies practised at Pusat Ehsan through hands-on experience. The workshop and placement provided participants the opportunity to build on their knowledge in supporting, assisting, and managing the learning of students with special needs through the application of a variety of strategies. Participants were also encouraged to exchange ideas among other participants that may be applicable to assist other students.

All participants were presented with a certificate at the closing ceremony of the workshop and work placement by the Education Trustee at Pusat Ehsan, Dato Paduka Dr Haji Omar bin Khalid. Also present during the closing ceremony was the Acting Head of Special Education Unit, Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor.
