KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – There should be a greater effort to create awareness of a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risks of diabetes among Malaysians, according to Health Ministry Medical Development Division director Datuk Dr Azman Abu Bakar.
He said it was important for the community especially the younger generation to keep tab on their health level.
“The youths today spend more time playing video games compared to spending time to exercise.
“As such we would like to encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle such as proper dieting, moderate intake of fast food as well as reducing the consumption of sugar in food and drink,” he told reporters after launching the World Diabetes Day Charity Walkathon and Fun Run 2014 here yesterday. a
