KOPERASI Rimbunan Berhad (KOPRI) Security Services held a special ceremony to honour some of its security personnel yesterday.
The event, held at the company’s office, saw the attendance of KOPRI’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato Paduka Seri Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Awang Besar as the guest of honour.
First off, four security services personnel were recognised for their bravery and quick response in extinguishing the flames of a recent fire at Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT), The Airport Mall. These security personnel were: Chief Supervisor Muhammad bin Junaidi, Mardinah binti Haji Basni @ Haji Omar, Mohammad Isyandi bin Puasa and Mohammad Haziman bin Matussin. For their actions, they were awarded certificates of merit and special hampers.
In addition, five personnel from the security services were promoted to higher ranks, namely Chief Superintendent Sembilan bin Othman, Senior Superintendent Haji Tujoh bin Mohammad, Chief Supervisor Muhammad bin Junaidi, Senior Supervisor Zaabah bin Haji Abdul Rahman and Senior Supervisor Talip bin Haji Mohd Tahir.
Yesterday’s ceremony also saw a donation from KOPRI staff and management awarded to the security services personnel, Chief Supervisor N Nordin bin Haji Itam, who was a victim of a fire at Kampong Setia ‘B’ last month on January 28.
Among those in attendance for the proceedings were members of KOPRI’s directors and personnel.
