THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted a Neighbourhood Watch Operation Patrol with the village head of Kg Lambak ‘A’ / Terunjing, Mulia Awang Haji Bujang bin Ahim together with the Community Policing Unit and police personnel from the Berakas Police Station.
The patrol was conducted on January 19 despite the rainy weather.
Personnel from Berakas Police Station gathered at the house of the villlage head, where a short briefing was given by A/OCS of Berakas Police Station P/ASP Pg Hj Saiful.
The patrolling began after the briefing in the areas of Kg Terunjing, Jalan Lambak Kiri, Jalan Bedil, Kg Bayut and along Jalan Pasir Berakas up to Simpang 543. The patrolling which was done using a bus provided by RBPF and a patrol car was conducted by some 12 villagers from Kg Lambak along with 11 police personnel.
The main aim of the patrol was to promote safety and security awareness among public, emphasising on the vigilance of “Pengawasan Kejiranan” together with police presence, in order to tighten the issues of crime prevention within the neighbourhood and foster closer relations between RBPF and the community.
