THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a closing ceremony of the Dikir Syarafil Anam at the Surau of the Police HQ in Gadong yesterday, in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebrations.
The guest of honour was Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Dato Paduka Seri Bahrin bin Mohd Noor. Also in attendance were Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, DCP Hj Mohd Jammy bin Hj Muhd Shah Al- Islam as well as directors, commanding officers and officers of the RBPF.
The Dikir Maulud for the Royal Brunei Police Force was held for 12 consecutive nights to recognise the contributions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in championing Islam.
The ceremony began shortly after the mass Maghrib prayer with the mass Hajat prayers to pray for good health to prevent and tackle crime while seeking Allah’s protection from any challenges and untoward occurrences when carrying out their duties.
The event continued with the closing of the Dikir which was opened with the mass recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Imam Surau of Police HQ Gadong.
The mass Isyak prayer was followed by the Dikir Marhaban and the Doa Selamat as well as Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Brunei Darussalam.
