FOUR foreigners were detained by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday following a raid at a hotel located in the heart of the capital for alleged prostitution activities.
The raid was carried out by police personnel from the Central Police Station following a tip-off from the public.
The four suspects, aged between 20 and 30 years, have entered the country using visitor passes. The police seized foreign currency and other items from the suspects.
If found guilty, the suspects will be charged under Section 294A, Chapter 22 of the Penal Code. The suspects have been handed over to the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit, Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
The RBPF has conveyed its appreciation to the public for providing information to help eliminate crime and vice in the neighbourhood.
The public is advised to contact the police hotline or the nearest police station if they have knowledge of any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.
