THE Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof bin Haji Abdul Rahman, who is also the Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), made a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence, Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein at the Wisma Pertahanan, Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof was in Kuala Lumpur on a farewell visit.
Earlier, he made a courtesy call to General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Bin Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of Malaysian Army.
The Malaysian Defence Minister underscored the long-standing relationship which both countries nurture in all areas, particularly in defence.
The visit by Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Yussof underlines the close defence ties between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam. Under him, professional interactions between the Malaysian Army and Royal Brunei Land Force have grown in scope and scale.
Both forces engage regularly in a wide range of professional exchanges and bilateral exercises. These extensive interactions have enhanced the cooperation and professionalism of the armies through military training and exercises, exchange of information on matters pertaining to security and defence products, as well as exchange of visits between the respective defence and military officials.
