AS THE Brunei International Airport (BIA) progresses towards its completion, Royal Brunei Catering Sendirian Berhad (RBC) made a significant leap forward with the launching of its latest concept restaurant at the departure hall of the airport yesterday.
Anjung Saujana, Cilantro’s Gourmet Patisserie and Kak Ros made their debut as part of the concept restaurant at the airport, signifying RBC’s ever-growing pursuit of modernisation.
Minister of Communications Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, officiated the opening as the guest of honour.
The evening opened with a welcome address by RBC General Manager Haji Omar Ali bin Haji Mohd Daud.
This was later followed by a presentation of memento to the guest of honour and a tour of the restaurant.
Through the tour, a showcase on The Airport Restaurant & Coffee Shop dating back to the 1980s and 1990s was on display.
Guests were also treated to a buffet dinner reception.
Also present were members of the RBC Board of Directors, representatives from the Department of Civil Aviation, the management and staff members of RBC, invited guests and members of the media.
