DPMM FC’s Bosnian international Boris Raspudic, who was recently voted as one of “Fourfourtwo.com’s Top 20 S-League Players of the Season”, was extremely delighted with his contract extension.
“I feel good that the club has been happy with my performance this season,” Raspudic said.
“In return, I will like to reward their confidence in me with assured performances and better results for the next season. I think that I deserve the extension as our defence was the stingiest in the League. I have put in a number of good games and most importantly, I have blended in well with my teammates and the local culture.”
The Bosnian, who was often praised by the club management for his exemplary behaviour and professional attitude, described the Singapore League Cup triumph as one of the highpoints in his maiden season with DPMM FC.
“The Cup triumph has to be my highpoint as I scored the first goal in the final. Reaching the RHB Singapore Cup semi-finals can count as a highpoint as DPMM FC has never come this close. Losing the last league game against Tampines which cost us the title was heartbreaking for me.”
Raspudic has immediately set the league title as one of his personal goals for the 2015 season.
The affable and popular centreback has these parting words for the DPMM FC fans.
“I will like to thank you for your undying support. I know deep down that our relationship will continue to blossom because you believe in us and we cannot live without you. Together, we will achieve our goals next season.”
