THE Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) on Tuesday conducted a drill for Healthcare Simulation Week, celebrated annually by worldwide simulation users from September 11-15.

With the theme ‘Bridging Clinical Competency through the Theatre of Simulation Based-Learning’, it aimed to consolidate students’ knowledge into clinical action within a control-simulated environment.

The drill involved third-year BHSc Medical students, DHSc Paramedic trainees and DHSc Nursing students, along with second-year DHSc Midwifery students and lecturers from the PAPRSB IHS, UBD and School of Health Sciences at Politeknik Brunei.

The drill involved several passengers and bystanders with severe life-threatening injuries, requiring the combined efforts of the Emergency, Maternity, Paediatric and Surgical Units.
