THE Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament is back this year on a three-day event from March 27-29 at the RBA Golf Club in Berakas.
The tournament, in its 13th year, aims to target inspiring golfers in the country to exhibit their skills and techniques in the name of charity.
Two years ago, the theme ‘Perpetual Care’ has been developed underscoring the non- profit organisation’s continued concern and dedication for the disabled. The organisation said that as this appropriately reflects the purpose of their present undertaking, they will retain the theme as the centre-piece of the tournament.
The centre derives its fund mainly from collections and donations collected from the community. The tournament in itself can be an opportunity for members of the community including the private sectors and members of the public to sponsor or donate through golf either by participating in the tournament or simply donating to Pusat Ehsan.
The charity tournament is also part of the centre’s continuous public awareness campaign for the concern and care of the disabled.
As in previous years, RBA Golf Club will be the event’s partner and has provided Pusat Ehsan a special deal which will also benefit the golfing community.
They will be using System 36 which serves to calculate the golfers’ accrued points and the chance to truly test their potential having registered without a handicap index.
And both regular and fresh participants for the tournament will be able to test their abilities to the fullest in the Putt- Stop Challenge on the practice green between #5 and #7.
Also there are opportunities for the side action of the charity golf with the hole-in-ones and Bull’s Eye competition.
The tournament which features The Patron’s Challenge Trophy is also open to ladies and senior golfers. Registration fee of $100 includes breakfast, lunch and buggy.
Present during the press conference was Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin Abdul Wahab, Acting Chairman, Board of Trustees and Advisor of the Tournament’s Organising Committee.
