TO MARK the 30th anniversary of its existence, the Young Surveyor’s Group from the Surveyor Division of Pertubuhan Ukur Jurutera dan Arkitek (PUJA) will be holding a treasure hunt.
The PUJA Treasure Hunt 2014 will see the participation of 230 government and private school students between the ages of 13 and 18, and is set to take place at the Bio Innovation Corridor (Agro Park) in Kg Tungku on the morning of November 30.
The treasure hunt specifically targets students keen on one day joining the construction industry as well as those who are curious to learn more about the industry. With a series of clues and puzzles lined up, the event hopes to broaden the experience of the young participants.
Treasure hunters of eight to 10 people may be selectively grouped during registration – otherwise randomly grouped. The event is expected to foster communication and teamwork among each team of hunters.
The Young Surveyor’s Group hopes to raise public awareness on the professions of quantity surveyor, architect and engineer in general. They also hope the event will present a chance for professionals from the industry to interact with the public, particularly the younger generation.
The public is welcome to join in the spirit of PUJA Treasure Hunt 2014.
