THE Meragang Sixth Form Centre (PTEM) has begun the process of enrolling new lower sixth students. After the recent release of ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level results by the Ministry of Education, prospective students are encouraged to visit PTEM to enrol for the current academic year.
PTEM offers 24 subjects. Aside from the more traditional subjects like Maths, Physics and Chemistry, there are also increasingly popular choices like Psychology, Sociology, Travel and Tourism, Food Studies and ICT.
The minimum entry requirement is four credits at ‘O’ level, one of which must be in Malay language.
The enrolment process includes an initial check of ‘O’ level results followed by discussion with the relevant heads of departments. Career advice is also available. Once students begin classes, an Orientation Week will be held in which students will be familiarised with the layout of the school and given information about school rules and activities
The school is aiming to enrol around 600 new students, with classes formally beginning in about two weeks. Prospective students should check the PTEM website for updates and information about the beginning of classes.
