A PROMOTIONAL sale for decorative flowers will be taking place from February 8 to 15 at the Rimba Horticulture Centre.
This promotional sale is held to meet public demand, especially for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration. It is also an initiative of the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, and entrepreneurs of the centre, to enhance the production of ornamental plants.
The sale will start from 8am to 5.30pm, except for Friday when it will be closed from 12pm till 2pm.
Herbal plants, fruit trees and ornamental plants will be on sale at affordable prices. Other highlights include the selling of ‘Laila’ rice, garage sale, and selling of food and drinks.
The department expects more enrolment from entrepreneurs for the selling of ornamental and floral products at affordable prices to meet the local demand, as well as to encourage and increase public interest to decorate their surroundings with flowers and ornamental plants.
There is vast opportunity in this industry for entrepreneurs to tap in where they are encouraged to engage commercially to develop the ornamental plants industry.
