SOME 25 officers from the Prisons Department yesterday visited the Counselling Services Division of the Public Service Department (JPA) at the Bahirah Building, Jalan Menteri Besar to learn more about the department’s functions and roles.
The delegation led by the Acting Director of Prisons, Haji Ismail bin Haji Murat, attended a briefing session on counselling services and programmes offered by the division, including counselling in Islamic perspective; Al-Insyirah Programme; Alamiah Leadership Camp (KEKAL); Civil Service Rakan Musaaid Programme and Support Programme.
The briefing concluded with a dialogue session and a tour to the Counselling Services Division’s office.
Apart from informing the division’s roles and functions, Mohammad Murad bin Haji Paijan, Director of Counselling Services at the JPA said the visit also aimed to forge closer ties between both sides.
