LONDON (dpa) – Britain’s Prince Harry admitted Monday to being “incredibly nervous” before public speaking engagements, and even when entering a room full of people.
The confession of shyness from the 30-year-old came as part of a campaign by his Sentebale charity to help reduce the stigma associated with HIV.
The fourth in line to the British throne said: “My secret is, believe it or not, I get incredibly nervous before public speaking, no matter how big the crowd or the audience.
“And despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious actually, before going into rooms full of people when I’m wearing a suit.”
Prince Harry’s Feel No Shame video clip was released on World Aids Day, along with similar filmed confessions from celebrities including singers Nicole Scherzinger and Paloma Faith.
