His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, as the Chairman of the Committee of the Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan), graced a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony yesterday to mark the 50th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The ceremony, organised by Yayasan as the Secretariat of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA), was held at An-Naura Hall of the Yayasan Complex.
His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik was welcomed by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, as member of the Governors of Yayasan; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, as the Chairman of DANA Board of Trustees; Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar as Deputy Chairman of DANA Board of Trustees; and Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of DANA.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran, followed by mass Asar prayer, led by Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Metassan bin Haji Tahir.
