SOME 45 members of the Administration and Diplomatic Services (PPTD) Malaysia, who are participating in the PPTD CSR Transborneo 2014 Expedition Programme from October 22 to November 2, paid a visit to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Bengkurong yesterday.
The delegation was welcomed by Dyg Nurul Huda binti Awang Haji Muhin, Acting Head of Administration at Pusat Ehsan. She also briefed the delegation on the centre.
Led by officers from Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB), the delegation’s visit intended to strengthen relations between PPTD Malaysia and residents of Pusat Ehsan, gain more knowledge on the function and roles of Pusat Ehsan and offer their services by being involved in activities with special needs individuals. The head of the delegation was Nazli Hj Mohd Taib.
The delegation watched a video presentation on the centre and before touring the facilities of the centre. Later they posed for a group photo with staff of the centre and presented donations. Ikhbar bin Ismail presented the donations to a representative of the centre.
Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam is a non-government, non-profit welfare body that prepares quality special learning, training, care and function recovery services to special needs individuals in Brunei Darussalam.
At present 150 special needs individuals are registered with the main branch of Pusat Ehsan while another 51 are registered with the Kuala Belait branch.
