THE Brunei Darussalam Scout Association (PPNBD) has established the Humanitarian Aid Fund to assist flood victims in the Limbang District, Sarawak.
The aid comes in the form of food and beverages which were collected through contributions from the association’s members and their families following the recent flooding that has affected thousands of residents in the Limbang District.
Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas, President of the Brunei Darussalam Scout Association, headed the mission to send basic necessities and other supplies to ease the burden of the flood victims.
Also joining the mission were Haji Awang Badar bin Awang Haji Ali, Scout Chief Commissioner; Secretary General; Scout Commissioners; Executive Scout Commissioner as well as Rover Scout and Young Scout members.
The humanitarian aid the handover, which was carried out with the cooperation of the Scouts Association of Malaysia Limbang District Sarawak Branch, was received by YB Paulus Palu Ngumbang, a member of the State Legislative Assembly for Batu Danau at the CIQ Tedungan in Limbang.
Also present were Temenggong Ang Keng Su, Chairman of Limbang District Scout Council; Mohammad Tangah, Sarawak Assistant Chief Commissioner for North Zone; Benyamin, Limbang District Scout Commissioner as well as Limbang District Scout leaders and scout members.
