THE Kampong Ayer Police Station of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently conducted joint operations with the Neighbour-hood Watch in areas of jurisdiction in a bid to reduce criminal activi-ties and to foster closer relations.
Also joining the operations were the village head of Kg Bu-rung Pingai, Abdul Rahman bin Hj Omar; the village head of Kg Lorong Dalam, Hj Bakar bin Hj Cucu; the village head of Kg Pandai Besi, Pg Hj Ayob bin Pg Sulaiman, as well as their assistants, about 15 personnel from the Kg Ayer Police Station and two members of the Marine Police.
The operations, which included foot and boat patrols, started with a briefing by the Acting OCPD of Kg Ayer Police Station, P/Insp Mohammad Hazizul bin Hj Abdul Halim, and were then led by P/Insp Mohammad Hazizul. More RBPF-Neighbourhood Watch joint operations are planned for the future.
