GEORGE TOWN (Bernama) – Police have identified another Myanmar believed to be involved in the murder and dismemberment of several fellow nationals in Penang recently.
Penang police chief, Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the identity and photograph of the Myanmar man would be released to the media soon, perhaps Monday or on Tuesday, to facilitate the investigation.
“We believe this suspect is part of the group of Myanmar involved who are under detention now and that he is still in the state.
“We hope the public will help us find this man,” he told reporters after officiating at the police northeast district headquarters’ crime-prevention operation, here, yesterday.
Meanwhile, he said, the effort to trace three Myanmar men, aged between 20 and 42 years, and whose identity and photographs were released last Thursday, was still on.
“They are being sought to assist in the investigation into the killing of their countrymen, and are believed to have been staying in Bukit Mertajam before fleeing,” he said.
