A MAJOR road safety and crime prevention and detection operation was held nationwide on Saturday by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
Dubbed ‘Operasi Tegas II Nationwide,’ the operation was coordinated by the RBPF’s Traffic Control & Investigation between 10pm and 12.30am, involving personnel from police stations across all four districts.
The locations selected in the Brunei-Muara District for the operation were Lambak Link, Jalan Subok, Jalan Jerudong, Jalan Lumapas, Jalan Limau Manis, Pekan Muara and Jalan Sg Akar.
In Kuala Belait, it focused on Jalan Tengah and Jalan Maulana, while for Tutong the locations were KM28 and Jalan Lamunin. In Temburong, the operation was held at Jalan Puni.
In terms of results, for the Brunei-Muara District, Limau Manis Police Station issued five compounds and two summons, while Kg Ayer Police Station issued two police warnings. Sengkurong Police Station issued nine compounds, 15 stops and searches and also issued warnings, while BSB Police Station issued one compound and one reminder, and Berakas Police Station issued 11 warnings and six compounds.
Meanwhile, in the Belait District, Kuala Belait Police Station issued seven compounds, Seria Police Station issued one compound, Sungai Liang Police Station issued four compounds and one warning, and also carried out five stops and searches, while there were no issuances under Labi Police Station.
Tutong Police Station issued six compounds, one docket and one possible narcotics case, while Temburong Police Station reported no issuances.
