KOTA BAHARU (Bernama) – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived yesterday afternoon for a visit to Kelantan.
He was greeted on arrival at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Pengkalan Chepa at 2.55pm by Kelantan Umno Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Kelantan leaders of Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties and heads of government departments and agencies.
Najib then proceeded to Kampung Jubakar, Tumpat, to meet the Kelantan Siamese community.
He is scheduled to attend the Asar prayers at the Simpangan Mosque in Simpangan, Tumpat, and visit the Pondok Simpangan Islamic education centre near the mosque.
Najib will wind up his visit to Kelantan by attending a meet-the-people session at a community centre in the Pengkalan Kubor state constituency at 5pm.
The BN had retained the Pengkalan Kubor seat with a bigger majority in a by-election on Sept 25.
