NINETY students and two instructors led by Cikgu Hajah Hadinah Subariah binti Haji Tengah and Cikgu Pengiran Masyuna binti Pengiran Hj Ibrahim made an educational visit to the Registrar of Company and Business Names (ROC) at the Ministry of Finance yesterday.
The visit was organised by the Business Enterprise Unit, General Studies Department, Mechanical Training Centre (PLM).
Among the objectives of the visit were to expose the students to legal procedures on how to register a company and business names, and to provide a sound understanding on the roles and functions of the ROC Department.
In her opening remark, Puan Hajah Norliati binti Haji Idris, Special Duties Officer of ROC, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship among the younger generation in contributing to the growth of Brunei’s economy in line with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Vision 2035.
After the speech, the students were given a briefing on Incorporation of Business and Companies by Mohammad Saiful Adilin bin Haji Edin, Finance Officer cum as Assistant Deputy Registrar where he explained on the various types of companies’ ownership. The event ended with question and answer session.
