SEVENTY-SEVEN trainees of the first to fourth platoon from the National Service Programme (PKBN) for the current intake, together with their supervisors, visited the Brunei History Centre yesterday.
The purpose of the visit was to give the trainees exposure on the history of Brunei as well as recognising the country’s past.
The visit included a brief presentation on the history of Brunei by an officer at the Brunei History Centre. The delegation was later taken for a tour of the various historical arts demonstration, took part in Jawi calligraphy and learnt basic analysis of tombstones, which were conducted by officers from the History Centre.
Before concluding their visit, the delegation observed rare documents available at the Borneo Manuscript Gallery.
