FOUR senior members from the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) departed to Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia to attend the Regional Educational Seminar on Bahasa Melayu from October 17-18.
The seminar carries the theme ‘The Role of Bahasa Melayu in the Globalised Education Era’ with the aim to discuss current issues related to the education of the Malay Language in the era of globalisation as well as to identify strategies to overcome threats towards the language faced by regional countries.
Terengganu’s Chief Minister, Dato’ Haji Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman is scheduled to open the seminar which is participated by Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia as the host country. The Brunei delegation is led by the President of PGGMB, Cikgu Hj Antin bin Ahad.
