CREATIVE Space Art Gallery and Studio is currently hosting an exhibition titled ‘Pause and Rewind’, which pays tributes to Brunei’s senior artists at the Sengkurong gallery, from January 7 to February 24.
The exhibition features 26 works of art produced between 1980 and 2017 by Pengiran Timbang bin Pengiran Tuah, Haji Mahaddi bin Haji Mat Zain, Dr Zakaria Hamid, Zakaria Omar and Pengiran Khamarul Zaman bin Pengiran Haji Tajuddin.
‘Pause and Rewind’ marks the beginning of a new initiative by Creative Space, in line with its mission to record, conserve and preserve Brunei’s artistic-cultural heritage, alongside projects such as ‘EMERGE’ which focusses on Brunei’s young and emerging artists.
The exhibition’s curatorial team is made up of local youths from the creative industry: Khairul Ibrahim (Curator), Osveanne Osman (Project Manager), Ayumi Yusof (Marketing Executive) and Amalina Abu Bakar (Designer).
The exhibit is open to the public at the Creative Space Art Gallery and Studio located at the Sengkurong Shopping Centre, on Wednesdays to Sundays, from 10am to 4.30pm.
