BRIDES and grooms-to-be were treated with promotions on the latest wedding products such as dresses, dais, photography, door gifts and dowry gifts ‘hantaran’ at the one-day Simply Sayang Wedding Fayre held at Mutiara Ballroom of the Radisson Hotel in the capital.
The wedding fair was organised by Simply Sayang with the support of Songket Wedding. Nine local businesses took part in the event which Suzilawati binti Abd Samat, the organiser and manager of Simply Sayang, said was aimed at raising awareness of the newest wedding products.
According to Suzilawati, the wedding business in Brunei is growing and she looks forward to organising more wedding fairs and maybe turn it into an annual event.
Suzilawati started her wedding business 10 years ago with decorating dowry gifts and expanded it to include dais. Simply Sayang is introducing larger dais for wedding ceremonies taking place at halls.
Norhanisah binti Haji Md Nor, owner of Dhiya Aleesya Gubahan Hantaran, said the public response for the wedding fair was favourable and she took the opportunity to promote her new dowry gift collections. This event was the third event she took part in during her four years of business.
Hajah Masni binti Haji Aji, owner of Lai Dee Chocolaterie, introduced homemade chocolate for dowry gifts, door gifts and egg flowers ‘bunga telur’ for weddings and other occasions such as birthdays.
Among the local businesses participating in the wedding fair were Ardly Couture, Artz Production, Arisya Dhaniyah Boutique, Maszalina Bridal Boutique, Elynn @ Yani Creative and FloraClay Singapore.
